I buy my husband corduroy pants. I think it’s the least I can do since I don’t cook. With a closetful of 20 years’ worth of unworn cords I’m starting to think the husband-in-corduroy-pants fantasy is mine alone.

My ex tried to buy me clothes. One time I didn't really want to meet her and when she asked I said I couldn't come because I had nothing to wear and needed to do laundry. She offered to go to the shop instead of us not meeting and pick out an entire outfit for me, so we could meet. She didn't know my size. I said it was OK and left it.
The second time she bought a top, only she bought it in the wrong size (I think possibly on purpose now). She knew I liked wearing clothes loose and she bought something ultra tight. I didn't accept it, because it was so uncomfortable to wear. She had to return it, and she came back with one in the size up. I ended up accepting that, but I didn't want it. It wasn't my style at all, and although it was meant to be a gift, it didn't feel like one, because she'd purposely bought something I didn't want (and knew it).
I probably posted in this thread 11 years ago when it started, but yes, my wife buys my clothes. She washes, irons, and lays out my clothes each night for the next day. She likes doing that and I don't really care about clothes. I'd probably go to the office in jeans and a hoodie if she didn't. She's always telling me how sexy I look and I rarely see myself, so it's a bigger deal to her than it is to me. She does ask me before she buys anything and checks if I'm okay with what she plans day to day, but I rarely say no. I do try to tell her ahead of time if I need a jacket and tie or certain clothes for certain days.
