sheesh...Sub 142 this season??
sheesh...Sub 142 this season??
doped to the gills - let's see if he can hang on better than he did last year!
Maybe....but don't hold your breath for a major title
He is clearly very talented but is also inexperienced and when betting on a race, particularly an 800m race, bet the field.
That guy's freakin good.
Didn't he mention his goal of breaking world records after his 1:42 last year?
Lets hope not,....but his performance in the heats in Beijing was very reminiscent of Ramzi's in Athens 2004, after he had run 3:30 and beaten EL G earlier in the season!
you guys seriously think this guy is clean? Have you WATCHED the way he runs? That guy is certainly not fueled by good mechanics and economy... He will perform better later on in the season if he learns to dope more aggressively into the late summer.
With that kind of economy he must have a HUGE engine. Maybe that engine is waaay bigger than any other 1:42 guy ever, or maybe he's got a bit of nitrous in there.

Didn't he run World Juniors last year leading up to the Olympics? The dude was overraced big time, his performance was not surprising at all.
so everyone who runs 1.43 is doping? so was kipketer doping when he run 1.41? let me tell you something you stupid moron, people can run fast without drugs and kaki is super talent and certainly works harder than anyone, maybe you should train little harder so can break 2.00 or maybe you should email kaki is coach and ask him some help, you probably spent more time here than training,

Goodlooking mechanics and economy are not always related. I think he is clean.

Typical PC letsrun response. Only whites and arabs use drugs, right? Makes you feel good to be a self hater, right? You ever pause to ask yourself why you think this way? Why only your people have been made to think this way? No. You're just another lemming, a blind member of the sheeple.
We'll see if Kaki's clean or not some day. Personally, I think he is. His coaches have him peaking too quickly I would think. However, Ngeny was definitely doped. I believe the story about the IOC and IAAF letting him keep his Oly Gold only if he agreed to stay clean. He couldn't compete and they cooked up the "car accident".
Kipketer? Who knows? I do know the problems he had, his symptoms, didn't match those of malaria when he was sidelined by what he claimed was malaria. It was very strange.
Kiprop? He's going to kick everyone's ass in the 1500 if he's showing that kind of speed. The last top ranked 1500 guy that had that kind of 800 speed consistently was probably Cram. I'll be Kiprop is going to be consistently this fast over the 800. Sure, they might be fudging his age, but his talent is supreme.
Crazy times for early May.
Black people have used drugs, white people have used drugs, arabs have used drugs as well.
But when he singles out 2 black guys in a matter of minutes for absolutely no good reason, it kinda makes you wonder.
Let me guess. Slow white guy whose hero is Pre and you think Ryan Hall and Nick Symmonds are the saviors of white running now you've given up on Webb. And you worship Nick Willis and you'd never accuse any of those guys of doping even if they went 2:04, 1:41 or 3:28 this year.
Not quite sure why you think I'm a lemming, as I pretty much agree with everything you have said!?
My views on Ngeny are based on various accounts from different people who all claim the same thing. As for Kaki, it is unbelievable to me that any 18 year old can run 1:42. The 800m records of Coe & Kip have been amongst the most difficult to beat in the last 30 years or so, and it took a lot of time and hard work for those 2 to get to sub 1:42 territory. I just don't buy an 18 year old can run that fast. So, he's either quite a bit older than he claims, on something, or the greatest athletic talent of all time. Only the passing years will confirm which is the truth.
As for being racist, you don't know me (previous poster) from Adam, and the fact that the 2 athletes I mention are black has more to do with the fact that the vast majority of the top middle and long distance runners are black.
If I criticised a white swimmer or cyclist for being on a PED, would that make me racist towards white people?
How do guys who come from seemingly nothing get access to such good drugs and training that they aren't detected and are able to put down such good times?
Another lonegunmen conspiracy theorist? The IAAF/WADA/IOC don't have the desire or the control or the intelligence to pull off some vast conspiracy to prop up third world Africans, the same ones who are killing interest in track and distance running. Kenteris was supposed to be the hero of the Athens Olympics and they not only busted him, but their "car accident" was quickly ruled as bullshit. If you think the powers that be are engaging in these sort of acticvities, you're giving them way, way too much credit.
Just because someone cheats it doesn't mean they are bad people.
If you are Geb and approached by Hermens (convicted doper) while living in a mud hut you are going to do what he says for a number of reasons.
1) this is your only way out.
2) you probably have never seen a syringe before, and when you are told what to eat, what to sleep, what to run, etc...a bit of medicine is nothing different.
Once you perform well he will explain to you that the Europeans like to play this charade about not using these aids for their old-fashioned reasons, but that all the top guys have them now. Are you going to slap him and head back to your hut?
Once you are the greatest of all time you would have everything to lose. If Geb were to admit wrongdoing at this point it would ruin him and all the people he supports (hundreds, maybe thousands) while setting back his nation as a whole. It would also ruin and implicate many of his teammates and friends, by extension destroying a network of people who depend on great performances for the necessities of life.
Why would he admit wrongdoing? So another person who is on drugs can benefit more?
People are too quick to point the finger about what is right and what is wrong. Yes maybe these guys are cheaters in track, everyone knows this, but aren't then still a force of good in the world? They are helping many people tremendously and if they didn't cheat someone else would.
I would do the exact same thing.
I'll remember that when I get charged with embezzlement.
Deonouk, that was one of the most long-winded disingenuous answers I've ever seen. That guy caught you flat-footed. He nailed you. You are trying to twist what he said. What is this, Pilpul class?
