What do you guys think of this? American Track athletes will not wear red, white, and blue or have anything that says USA on it in the games. My opinion is that the terrorists have won.

Sorry, that's MAY not wear....
it also says OUTSIDE of competition. The uniforms would be the same as always. Do you really think theres a need to for the athletes to wear targets on them when not competing?
Shit man, my reading is screwed up, I guess that'll learn me to posting anything right when I get back from a run...head isn't working right.
Anyway, I still think athletes should wear red, white, and blue outside competition, and USA. I mean are the also discouraging Americans from going over there and cheering on the athletes because of safety reasons? Personally I don't think USA is a target, and they should wear it proudly.
they should just where whatever they want. the olympics should not be used as a platform for politics, war or terror.
72/80/84 were crapy years.
Agreed
Any idea if they will reveal new uniforms for the Olympics? I am hoping for a fresh look. That "Chrysler" USA logo is getting a little stale, in my opinion. Wish I was somewhat artistically talented.
2001 was a crappy year in the US, too. Just look at the NYC skyline. All the more reason to wear red, white, and blue everywhere while abroad. Are we afraid? "We will not waiver. We will not falter. And we will not fail."

...as long as its you that gets your ass shot off and not me. You wear your USA sweats all you want.
No events or conditions justify terrorism, however, I will say (and no doubt be assaulted for it) that what goes around comes around.
this has been around but:
1953 - US overthrows Prime Minister Mossadeq of Iran
US instals Shah as dictator
1954 - US overthrows democratically-elected President Arbenz of Guatemala
200,000 civilians killed
1963 - US backs assassination of South Vietnamese President Diem
1963 ? 1975 - American military kills 4million people in Southeast Asia
1973 Sept 11 - US stages coup in Chile. Democratically-elected President Salvador Allende assassinated
Dictator Augusto Pinochet installed
5,000 Chileans murdered
1977 - US backs military rulers of El Salvador. 70,000 Salvadorans & 4 American nuns killed
1980?s - US trains Osama bin Laden & fellow terrorists to kill Soviets. CIA gives them $3billion
1981 - Regan administration trains & funds ?contras? 30,000 Nicaraguans die
1982 - US provides billions in aid to Saddam Hussein for weapons to kill Iranians
1983 - White House secretly gives Iran weapons to kill Iraqis
1989 - CIA agent Manuel Noriega (also serving as President of Panama) disobeys orders from Washington.
US invades Panama & removes Noriega.
3,000 Panamanian civilian casualties
yeah trackhead. straight from bowling for columbine. i say athletes are given the option to wear usa sweats or casual wear if it's not deemed a major security issue.

Arguably the overthrow of Mossadegh was the beginning of all of our troubles in the middle east. Do you think that Iran would have indeed fell to communism had Mossadegh been left in power, or it was all a load of bullshit on the part of the British and the Dulles brothers? I feel that if Mossadegh had been left in power, he would have eventually would have had to come to a deal with the British and the Anglo Iranian oil company over Abadan and the Iranian oil reserves and Iran would still be democratic today, as the Tudeh party didn't hold enough power in Iran or the soviet support to make any sort of grab for power.
w00t!
f*** the terrorists. if i was at the olympics i would purposefully wear red, white and blue.
and so would pre.
Just have our athletes pack heat. I would wear the red white and blue proudly and have a colt 45 hidden in my belt for motherf***ers that ain't respectin'. Its all about what jay z said, "ni**a threw one at me i threw four back."
Better yet, we have whoever runs P Diddy's security protect our athletes. You know that dude has some experience.
