He has a great shot! I think Acosta does too.

no.
He could win it. He has as much experience as anyone in the field.
Who are the other contenders?
There is no 1500m indoors, only a mile. Yes, he has a great chance of winning.

is this the same kid who was a freshman phenom in high school(mile)?....and if that is correct...isn't he American not Kwik?
He ran a 4:06 indoors as a sophomore.

horseshit
he ran 4:06 outdoors as a sophomore
Andrew Wheating....no contest if he chooses to run seriously indoors
He is becoming a steeplechaser and will run the 3k instead this indoors. Sorry to see as he just missed making the Olympic Trials finals at 1500m (Wisconsin guys beat him at NCAA's, but didn't qualify for the Olympic Trials).
SEE is quite overrated, has been since H.S.
Overrated in the sense that he broke Alan Webb's sophomore mile record running 4:06? Or winning nationals in the mile running 4:03 winning by 15+ meters against Miller. This kid has all the tools to win, it's just putting it together and the right time.
He wasn't overrated as a sophomore. Just afterwards. Breaking Webb's soph record is impressive and all, but considering he couldn't touch his times junior, senior year, and upwards, I don't think it means much anymore except that he was legit for a sophomore in HS.
I don't think he's terribly overrated. But he's no Webb. Or Wheating. He's more like an Acosta. Still great, but not overwhelming favorite great.
Yes! he is overrated precisely because he broke Webb's sophomore record. If you haven't noticed he hasn't progressed to close to the level Webb has. He was just a guy who was fast at a young age. Sure he still can wheel out a 3:40 naturally, but son can a a couple dozen guys who were running 425 as sophomores in high school.

He might have been overrated when he was a sophomore because everyone expected him to follow in webb's footsteps, i don't know because i didn't follow running back then, but surely he's not overrated now. He's been a background character in the ncaa 1500, and now has a shot to place very high. Who has unreasonable expectations for him?
"He's been a background character in the ncaa 1500"
??
I don't know if I'd consider 5th place in the 1500 behind Manzano a "background character."
There were no other collegians at the Olympic Trials and he has 2 more outdoor track seasons. Never thought he was as good as Webb, but who is a whole world better collegian?
I dont think he is overrated. In the outdoor 1500 he beat heath, acosta, torrence, benninger, bumbalough, and debole who all ran 340 or faster

I agree with this. I didn't see him as a soph, but I remember he looked about 24 as a senior in HS. I still would have expected him to be at least a 3:38 guy in college though (how fast has he run? 3:40?). I mean, he's not far off, and he may be just one season from 3:37, but I don't think so. I think he's the type of guy who has pretty much peaked for the 800-mile.
Jack Bolas made it to the second round in the Oly trials, and beat see at nationals. What are you talking about? Both Bolas (as well as a few other wiscoers) as well as wheating (though I assume he wont run indoor, thats not a big oregon thing right?) could beat him
