The chicago marathon was a good display of a few good moroccan born marathoners. On Moroccan Tv the race was bradcast live and many watched the race from cafes, bars and restaurants. A fantastic commentary in both French and Arabic from Brahim Boutayeb, Mohammed Mourhit and Brahim Boulami. They were extremely funny and should consider a comedy albumn together. MM and Boulami despite being seen as pariahs in Europe and in the states are seen as guys who say stuff like "pharmacology and genetic enhancements are like LASIK, are would be pilots cheating by having their sight improved?" Or "if you could improve your intellect and you won all the science awards and beacame very rich would you be cheating?" MY favorite was "by suing agents(phamacological) reponsibly you're more effectively able to reduce your work load, which puts less stress on the body and can result in fewer injuries. Why the runing community does not see this(doping) in terms of cost-benefit analysis is beyond me." Good stuff. A young, sexy Moroccan lass after the race said that Tergat "should consider taking over from dictator Daniel Arap Moi, as Tergat might have more political skill than marathon skill." The whole broadcast was done on a comedy channel and was very ironic, satirical and typically Gallo-Maghrebian. Very fun, and amazing coverage, they even interviewed the cyclist who followed the men's pack. Did anyone see the Moroccan TV crew?
