So I'm running a marathon in 4 weeks...
began training about 3 months ago, building from 40 to 70 mpw for the first month, then the last 2 months I've consistently been between 65 and 75. On days that aren't long runs/aren't tempos, I usually run at comfortable pace which is usually close to 6:45.
I do a tempo every week (longer ones as of lately), mileage varies, but 5 mi tempos have been at 5:35/mi pace and 10 mi tempos have been at 6:00/mi pace average.
Long runs - lately have been between 20 and 22, aside from down weeks. I do them at around 7 min pace consistently. A couple times I started with easy 10 miles then cruised in the next 10 miles at race pace.
So the big question is...
will I be able to run 6:35 pace for 26.2 miles? I've never run a marathon before, have no real clue what "the wall" is because I have not hit it in training yet. I've been trying to follow advice from people who have run well in the past.
Any advice from people who have run close to this time?
