yes. some people wear the milers for xc even.
Spikes are spikes. If you like how they feel wear them.
how??
What did you base this outrageous claim on?
How can running in this plate ON RUBBER be the same as running on CEMENT?
Please give me some of your wisdom, the430miler.
I ran in the Milers for a cross country 10k today. However, I wouldn't recommend it. At 1610 meters the shoes completely disintegrated. Not to mention I contracted prostate cancer due to my misuse of these spikes.
I do my long runs on the trails (15+ miles) in the Milers. The spikes provide great traction, and I like the lightweight feel. You should be fine for a 3200.
It depends on you. I've raced 10km cross in them and was fine, but I know people that can't even wear them for an 800. Make your own decision.
But a 3000 is not out of a miler's normal range.
Bekele wears them in the 5k/10k (or used to at least).
The only issue is that they really put you up on your toes and you might like a more relaxed spike for that long of a race. I always wear relaxed spikes for some reason, no matter the distance. I feel like the aggressive ones make my running form awkward and doesn't feel very natural.
