Instead of buying the toxic paper, why doesn't the govt offer low interest loans to companies/banks in need of liquity?
Don't do the bailout and we could end up going through what Japan went through or worse.
Do the bailout and we take on a lot of risk.
Bad choice we have to make.
If we do have the bailout, there needs to be oversight.
I lean towards the bailout and holding my nose with regards to pay for the Wall Street CEOs pay.
I don't see how they will have much incentive to go with the program if their pay is going to be severely cut. They probably have in their contract that if their companies fail that they are first in line for any of the money for assets sold in bankruptcy.
