If Willis can sustain having no injuries for another winter and season I think he will come out next season and win all the races... watch this space
Willis sudden substancial improvement in a single year
nice drugs
That is an absurd allegation, he ran faster before, just racing better and there are NO dominant guys anymore.

I dont count 1500 meter equivalent to a mile time. He has not run a 3:52 mile. Many Americans have run a 3:35 1500, but never close to 3:52 for the mile.
That is because 3:35 races are almost always international races of some note. Almost none of them run the mile. Thus, Americans get few opportunities to run a high-level mile with many athletes in a group knocking out 58-second laps. If you cannot understand the process that generates the statistics you observe then you will not fully understand what the data represent.

If you look at the times, it's more like Willis running about the same, and the former dopers running slower.
Willis has not run a pb in the 1500m in two years so to say he has had a substancial improvement in a single year is stupid. He is just running smarter and had a winter with no injuries which meant he is now strong. He now puts himself in a position to win races rather than sitting in dead last the whole way and relying too much on his kick. GO WILLIS!
No show is right... there is no real conversion from 1500m to a mile. That extra 109m effects some people way more than others. If anything I would say the 1500m to mile conversion estimates are far too liberal in general.
3:52 mile is better than 3:35 1.5km
Rankin's run was 4.29 % off the mile world record.
4.29 % off the 1500m world record is 3:34.84.
The 1500 is a far more contested event, and I think most people believe El G's 15 record is stronger than the mile.
At best Rankin's run is worth a 3:34 high.
So maybe its better than a 3:35. But I doubt it. And if it is, it's not by very much.
Thie is practically a New Yorker! he is now on
which on his page says he is in Bermuda the week before so not that far to travel really.
Also agree people want to see a 'good' race and one where anyone can win so they dont quite go for guys who will run away with it, also they may be asking for to much.
