Anybody know who's running? It's this coming Sunday.
Anybody know who's running? It's this coming Sunday.
Off the top of my head:
Lagat
Rowbury
And I would wager on the following also being in the fields:
Rankin
Lukezic
Mortimer
Gallo
Donohue
Also, Webb is supposed to be in NYC this weekend as the guest speaker at the CPTC benefit, but he hasn't been racing, so not sure he will actually race.
Nick Willis, Kevin Sullivan, Will Leer, Sara Hall
Nick Symmonds for sure, and perhaps a couple other OTC guys?
Teg &/or Solinsky
Lagat... are u sure?
Will Leer is soooo hot that he'll smoke em all at the line even without that aerodynamic mustache edge.
He has an NYC appearance schedule on Saturday, so I am making the leap into assuming he is racing.

Pretty sure that would be his road race debut...
Ran into Solinsky yesterday, and he said this race was his last of the season, and he mentioned Teg is doing 5k champs.
Anyone have an actually list? Tried the NYRR site but no luck finding anything, thanks.
my money is on willis, hes held his peak really well.
There is no publicly released list, that is why we are compiling our own based on rumors and speculation. What you see above is pretty good info.
Lagat is definitely coming, Webb will be in town but is not racing. Willis and Leer and Kevin Sullivan are. Solinsky is racing in NYC but Tegenkamp has decided to go to the USA 5K in Providence.

It says something about the event when a full list of names hasn't been released yet. How can the media get behind the event if they don't know everyone who's competing? I am sure the fields will be stacked, but no one will care since they won't find out who's exactly running until Friday or Saturday.
Rowbury vs. Dobriskey rematch.
They are two and two this year. Who will prevail?
Just found some info about the start lists on Runnersworld:
Bernard Lagat and Shannon Rowbury Make Fifth Avenue Mile Debuts
Sunday will indeed be the first time that the two U.S. Olympic Trials 1500-meter winners will race the 20 blocks down Fifth Avenue. They'll part of a field featuring 10 Olympians, including American 800-meter runner Nick Symmonds, 2006 Fifth Avenue winner Kevin Sullivan of Canada, and Olympic 1500-meter bronze medalist Nick Willis of New Zealand on the men's side and Rowbury's teammate Erin Donohue and Great Britain's Lisa Dobriskey (the 2006 Commonwealth Games gold medalist in the 1500) on the women's side. Lagat, of course, won 1500-medals in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics. Rowbury is now the #2 U.S. woman's miler in history on the track. The professional women’s race is scheduled to start at 12:45 p.m., followed by the professional men’s race at 1:05 p.m. The rest of the women's field includes Lindsey Gallo, Nikeya Green, Sara Hall, Sarah Jamieson, Rose Kosgei, Meskerem Legesse, Amy Mortimer, Marina Muncan. The men's competitors include Nate Brannen, Adrian Blincoe, Will Leer, Chris Lukezic, Jon Rankin, John Richardson, Phil Salaka, Chris Solinsky, James Thie, and David Torrence.
Will there be any online and live coverage of the professional mile races?
Is Flotrack and/or Runnerspace going to be onsite?
