That is where I keep mine. You can't use it without people knowing it downstairs, but I don't think there is a structural issue.
The only real problem is the noise. The thumping is quite loud when heard from below. But if it's your own house or family then there's no problem.
I have a treadmill on the first floor. The vibrations can be felt all over the house, including the second floor; but this could vary from machine to machine.
I can only use it when it is 32 degrees or lower outside. Before I run, I have to open the windows and cool down the room. At about a mile, I turn on the fan, which is only inches from me. When I get off the treadmill, the room is warmer than when I started. Unless, you have a way to keep the room cool, it will be warmer on the treadmill than it will be outside.
You can use your treadmill on the 2nd floor if you don't mind me shootin' my gun on the first.
were you able to find a solution to this? any issues with the treadmill on the second floor?
