I am comming off little/no running for 3 months due to an injury, and now the Dr. has ok'd me to start back...
For the past 2 weeks, I have run 30/40 min one day and done 45-60 minutes stationary bike the next...
I am at the point now debating if I should keep up on the biking or switch to daily 40 minute runs at a moderate pace and build from there... What do you guys recommend?
I want to also be in shape to run indoors, so because I started base at the beginning of october, should I just build up to where I can run over an hour each day at a comfortably hard pace until early january and then add workouts? Or would you guys add workouts in sooner?
-thanks
I suggest you gradually work into running 7 days per week, even 2 weeks like you said of cross training may not be enough!
Best of luck!
