Some people have been saying that Northern Arizona is bringing in a couple superstar Germans that will catapult them back up to top 5 in the NCAA. Who are these wunderkids!

Hansel and gretel.
I saw that Ilsa Paulson ran the NYC half marathon in 1:13... is she still at NAU?
No. She lives in Flagstaff and trains with Daniels but is not in school.
I don't understand that girl. She would really have benefited from more running at the college level. Turning pro so young might cause her to burn out. She should have enjoyed the college scene and matured as an adult. I feel she is still a young kid to be competing against experienced seasoned pros. Turning pro after only one season of cross country at the college level is not enough.
does anybody have any info on who they have brought in to replace Lamong,Cardenas,Van Miert, and Paulson?
I know of two quality freshmen from California in Diego Estrada and Vanessa Hancock, anybody know of any more?

being a top distance runner in college means excluding the college scene, and losing out on the maturing aspect. She might as well get a paycheck.
I think there is only one German. His name is Thorben Grothaus. He will be a good addition tho NAU as he runs a solid 3:42/1500.

The brothers Grimm.
College was causing her burn out. Everyone is different and Paulson did what was best given her circumstances. Her success in all of her races thus far since turning pro speaks for themselves. All the nay-sayers need to shut-up and leave the girl alone. She finds racing at the pro level fun and wouldn't have it any other way. College does not fit everyone's defintion of fun. If she is talented enough to race at the pro level (and clearly she is) why critize her for pursuing what she loves, finds fun, and most importantly, was appointed to do by God?
