Last night it was cold and windy, everyone looked freezing and absolutely perishing, could see spectators shivering.
Someone yelled Run Forrest Run at me (not kidding).
Not really much action to report, only finals were TJ and HT.

Chambers looked impressive running 10.14.
Chambers did the bizzo in the 100m final running 10.00. Williamson PR'd with a 10.03 to take 2nd.
In the 800m Rimmer blew away Baddeley winning in 1.49.16 after a 56 second first lap.
link to results/start lists?

Wow! 1:49 - that's amazing!!!!
The 5000m was brilliant too - several guys broke 14minutes.
The comeback is on!
Sarcasm doesn't suit you mate. The USA is looking good these days, but don't get ahead of yourself. It was only a few years ago that the US was struggling just as badly. Keep in mind that the GB athletes have a severe disadvantage as well. They have to run with their legs shackled by an inept and corrupt organization called UK Athletics.
On another note, maybe you are not sure who Baddeley or Rimmer are? Rimmer is a 1:45 man and Baddeley won the Oslo Mile this year. Not bad credentials for either of them. They ran a tactical race (which is all they would need to do because the depth of talent isn't there in the UK at the moment), but that doesn't take anything away from them.
You already knew all this though... since you're a sarcastic old git?
hmmm....
UKA has is faults but I'm pretty sure it's not corrupt.
Rimmer is not bad but not brilliant. Badders should be in the mix.
I am British.
How about that 2006 World Cup? Remember when the brits invaded the boards slobbering all over Beckham and Rooney for about two weeks leading up to it?
How'd that all work out?
Must be the governments fault..Why do the English always blame the government / the council or some other authority for their problems?
Let me guess if you ran UK athletics you would do a much better job.
Good point... because the American's never criticize USATF? You obviously have NO experience dealing with UKA so are not in a position to comment on the way they handle coaches, athletes, physios etc. Americans criticize Glen Latmer, but UKA is essentially an entire organization of Glens. Well... not exactly... Glen has his quirks but he gets the job done. The men and women at UKA do not. Why don't you ask Glen or Alan Brooks or Jon Brown about UKA? These are all guys that have made GREAT contributions to athletics in North America, but come from the UK/GB. Then again, why am I wasting my time responding to someone that likes to make sweeping generalizations and argue in areas he knows nothing about. UKA is a shambles and has a lot to answer for. That doesn't mean we (British people) would be running a whole lot better without them... but they sure don't do anything productive to help.
2006? Mate, I was almost crying at the time, but even I am over that by now! Still, most Americans can't get past the default "bad teeth" or "bad food" jokes so I commend you on trying.
For future reference... most of us were shouting about guys like Lennon, Hargreaves, and Terry.
Beckham was playing like someone that was already over the hill and Rooney had a broken bone in his foot.
You gave it a good try though.
Then again... how did the USA do?

It's not as annoying as how every other person in the US blames the "liberals" for everything going wrong. Neighbor raped and killed today? Well that's what you get when you have bleeding heart liberals in charge. Because we all know liberals support crime.

Rimmer is 22. He's not a junior anymore. He should be coming into his peak NOW. 1.49 is nothing special.
It was a tactical Championship race you clod. They all cruised through 400m in 56, Rimmer kicked with 300m to go and left Baddeley and the others for dead.
Also to anyone who wants to criticise the 5k times the same deal applies. They ambled through 4k in 11.22 then there was a fast last kilometre with a real good battle over the last lap, Vernon winning in 13.54.

I think that said it all! Do you know if the races will be available online anywhere?
Rimmer is a million miles from making an Olympic final for exactly that reason. All this 'tactical' racking is bollocks. The Brits have got to learn to run faster.

I assume in the uk you can see it on iPlayer.

All Rimmer needed to do was win the trial to ensure selection, which he did. Every other race is about running fast, this one wasn't.
