way to go out on a limb on this one....
i'll be sure when he wins to honor you for your correct prediction.....
Lost ground down the stretch in not the fastest of races...not a good sign for our favorite wigger.
merritt was state champ in hs in 100,200 400 - faster than cool shades . Merritt is getting better and Wariner is scared of him.
If he doesn't win, I wonder how low he would have to crawl to get back with Hart.
JW appears to be racing on tired legs. Ford may be overworking him in training.

Thats what I thought. 44.2 is slow for JW. It appears he was either trying to just watch Merritt and measure him, was tired, or some mixture of both. Still he did not run a bad race, or even for that matter a slow one.
I think he could realistically be half a second faster right now. Merritt seemed to be giving it everything he had. I think Wariner will improve more, but both will be nearly even in the 4 come the final.

Which is gonna flippin' own, by the way.
look at his performance in the heats- slower than normal, no dominating performances. In the final he seemed lethargic through most of the race and didn't have his patented finish. He's either training very hard right now or is not on his A-game. He still ran 44.2, and only 4 other guys did that in the last 6 years from the USA.
its almost like calling a 19.95 200m slow, or for the LD people, a 3:49 mile. Merritt now has 5 performances around 44.1-43.96. Thats a bad plateau to be at when your competition has run 43.45,43.50,43.62. If Wariner was fresh he'd have run under 44.

Way to be your usual pricky self on this one....
I'll be sure when you do it over and over again, all the while thinking you're cute, to honor myself for correctly predicting the same....
Gotta say, though, looks like Satch is out-dickheading you at the moment. Might wanna step it up....
correction, only 4 other guys have run under 44.2 in the WORLD in the last 8 years.
pretty outstanding for a B-level performance.
