In reading up on the four zones of training:
Aerobic and Anaerobic Conditioning
Aerobic and Anaerobic Capacity
I'm still a little confused as to what type of rest should be used for Anaerobic Capacity workouts (for an 800/1500 guy, although more 800).
For example:
What’s the difference between this group of workouts
3x4x200 w/30 sec rest, 3:00 rest in between sets
6-8x300 w/ 1.5-2x interval time as recovery
6-8x400 at 3k race pace with 1.5x interval time as recovery
and this group?
8x200 w/2-3 min rest
5x300 w/2-3 min recovery (target 800 race pace)
4x400 w/4 min recovery (target 800 race pace)
Is it ok to only do one type/group of A.C. workouts? Or should the type of each A.C. workout vary depending on the point in the season?
