Shorter was consistently at or above 140. The same for Jack Bacheler. Dave Bedford would get up to 200.
All of those guys ran like 60 per week. Didn't you see Lagat's interview. Thats all it takes. Just got to do the right QUALITY runs. Webb goes what 50, he said. Yep they warm up with about 2 and cool down around the same or more. So really all it takes is like 30 some miles. My 73 yr old Uncle runs a 5mile, 6 days a week! Hey thats 30 I got to get him to the Olympic trials...bye!

It was actually 150. He's such a bad a$$ at the 10k that he doesn't need those extra 50.
