Did he need to have sex with her in front of the jury for a conviction?

That probably would have worked because then they could tell if it was actually him in the tape.
Or they could have listened to the 22 witnesses, Or considered of the other underage women who claimed to have had sex with him. Or considered his illegal marriage to a 15 year old Aaliyah. OR the 12 counts of possession of child pornography.
Luckier than O.J. or Barack.

Does this really make you that mad?
So the "victim" claimed to not be the one on the tape? WTF?
He has made a killing in record sales during this whole thing. They might as well have changed the terminlogy from "trial" to "massive promotional display".
So can he finally come out of the "closet"? lol
Didn't you ever see the Chapelle Show with the jury selection for the R Kelly trial?
haha, YO wrote:

This does piss me off personally. I was hoping he would hang for it.
He and his entourage put a couple of guys I played basketball with in the hospital in Lafayette, LA about 10-years ago. It was a just a friendly pickup game but obviously he is a real thug.

Piss me off, piss on her, whatever.
The phenomena of jury nullification in certain parts of the black community is disturbing. I would surprised if after the dust settles here thoughtful analysts ascribe to this result anything other than jury nullification - i.e, the community's reluctance, to send yet another black man, and a well known one at that, to prison. And the impulse to nullification is a powerful one - irrespective of the moral problems involved - this case involved a 14 year old getting abused in unspeakable ways - and on film - I find it hard to believe that the problem was one of proof (although the girl did not testify - a decision the prosecution supported).
This of course is a touchy subject, but it is a real problem, and it will over time end up negatively impacting the black community itself, if it has not already. In a recent murder in Baltimore, where a young white professional man was stomped into a coma for 9 months and then later died, the prosecutors opted for a plea deal with each of the 4 thugs - foreclosing very justifiable murder charges - out of - and I am not blaming the prosecutors - their fear that jury nullification would make it impossible to convict. The problem is that it is a huge signaling event that respect for the law is trivial, and it keeps good hard working people with money, values and opportunity away from communities that desperately need just those things. Again, a troubling phenomena that very few have the guts to talk about openly.
That piss was digital.
Was the jury mostly black?
The 5th video segment addresses the jury's thinking, but doesn't address the race of the jury.
Blacks fill prisions!
Image if the juries wasn't so bias!
