Those ASID jobs are very low paying. Most kids stay on until their late 20's then find a real job. The turnover in the sports information office is tremendous. Add to that you are stifled with censorship in a public relations role having to word things to make the teams look good. When it's time to move on, you either do the same for twice the money in corporate America, or take an authentic press job for the same or less money, if your wife has a very good income like mine does.
