He ran 340 becase thats what it took to win the race. Granted he probly cant go a lot faster right now, bt hes good for WAY better than 1325.
according to daniels
8:08.9 is 13:09.3 (81)
8:03.7 is 13:01.1 (82)
he said he is looking to run similar to his 2 mile last year at pre.

Teg is goin 1305 at least. The man is ready to break out a fast one. If the pace is hot, hes goin near the AR.
You people do realize he is not peaking for this race, he is peaking for the olympic trials. If you think 13:05 or for him to produce the same american record performance as at pre last year in the 2 mile. Then we're already saying he will be able to go sub 13 at the olympics. With all of his talent and hard work I wouldn't put it past him. But as for my honest prediction, I think he would be completely happy with a sub 13:15.
What I am more curious to know is the status of adam goucher. After the bismal 1500 he ran at oregon, i wonder what he will run. After all he did get the fracture in his foot the proper surgery. He ran a pb in the 5k and placed 6th in the 4k on a stress fracture in his foot. Let's think what he could run now that he is pain free.
I would love to see teg and gouch battling it out with the africans in the 5k final at the olympics.
he said he is looking for a similar effort as pre last year. said training is ahead of where it was last year, still strength, not speed or peaking. he should run < 13:10, inline with the two mile performance.
sihine is listed as running the 10k.

where's sihine? Wasn't this supposed to be the selection race for the Eth 10k? (I assume Bekele gets an auto entry)
If Adam gets the A standard in Hengelo then don't expect him to run the May 31st meet in Oregon.
It says Goucher and Rupp are in this, but others have said not. Does anyone know the straight scoop?
I just looked at the start list for the first time this morning and don't see Adam Goucher in the 5000. Was he listed there yesterday?
Yes, Rupp and the Gouchers were listed and delisted . . . so it looks like they did indeed withdraw. There may have been a 3000 on the program initially, too. Don't remember.

Don't remember.[/quoall of salazars group rupp, tohatinsky, a. and k. goucher and yoder babley were on the start list a couple of days ago, but are now off it. very disappointing. a lot of our (usa) top runners wimp out of world cross country to run a 5 mile road race, now some of our best runners puss out of hengelo, to run races on may 31st and june 6th, i bet the quality of runners in those 2 meets wont be anywhere close to hengelo.
wow, that first poster gave the most indepth predictions i've ever seen.
I think Teg is good enough now that he isnt peaking for the Olympic Trials. He will be ready, but he will be at his peak a month later I think.
abdi is no longer listed in the 10k either
american boycott!
Perhaps they are drug testing.

There is a live web feed on the meet website:
