because we all know that he is a Nike employee and Nike owns the University of Oregon. So he pretty much does coach at a university.

Used to be the coach of the legendary Greater Boston Track Club back in the glory days of the 1970's-1980's?
I believe that he was a college coach in Boston.

Definitely a good coach off the main radar.
JIM HARVEY who has been Mark Carroll's coach since he graduated in 1996.
3:30 mile, 7:30 3K. 13:03 5K etc. Still lives in Providence I think and coaches a select group.
