It does seem like lots of the older guys have gone a little cold this year; Meb hasn't raced (don't know what his status is), Abdi had something go wrong at the 8k champs, and Dan Browne blew up at Stanford.
The guy who seems really hot right now is Jorge Torres, between winning the 8k and being the first non-African at world cross. Also he won the 10k national champs a couple of years ago.
Scotty Bauhs is also on fire.
Of course the list is so deep that being on fire doesn't necessarily get you anywhere. Still, this looks like it's shaping up to be another 'out with the old, in with the new' trials race, similar to the marathon.
