Like running on PVC.
Is PVC a drug? What do YOU run on?
He means there's no cushion.
However, I, for one, am on my 9th pair. :)
PVC in not adrug you moron. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. It is used to make plastic pipes and now apparently shoes. If you put PVC in your body, there's agood chance you'll die. So no it is not a drug. I should know, I'm the organic chemistry monster.

I love them too! it's an easy transition from those to the ronin racing flat.
So you're a sci-fi creature with an attitude or what?
Wave Riders are comfortable shoes.
If you train in Mizuno's you will get injured, they suck! Get ready for some time off if you train in Mizuno cause you will be injured in no time.
I put in roughly 5,000 miles last calendar year and did so exclusively in the Wave Rider. I have also put ~1000 miles on one pair, so they hold up quite nicely. They are firm, though, and likely aren't for everyone.

I'd say you put in roughly 4871 miles last calendar year.
ya they are awesome. Their actually one of the only shoes that keeps me injury free. Im on my 5th pair. And still injury free. I have not gone 1000 miles in a single pair though. I only go about 350-400
my fav...although I liked the rider 9's much better than it's processors.
I had 13 pairs of the Wave Rider 7. It was my first true love (in the shoe world), and I've never met its equal since. The current rendition, the Rider 11, is pretty nice though.
I know a former WR/AR holder who wears them and her main squeeze(OK her only squeeze hehe) won a Masters Championship in them.
I'm on my 5th pair and very happy with my Wave Riders.
I'm sure the shoe is not for everyone, however it wears well for my type of trail/distance training. I can average 350 to 400 on each pair.
It's interesting how some posters think that racing flats are the way to train,,,nothing against that except that they don't last as long as a solid pair of trainers.
I found the Wave Riders in particular have a lower foot bed so I can extend a bit longer when picking up the pace without too much of the "heavy footed" feeling I've worn in other trainers out there. The weight is a bit lighter than other trainers and its medial post is strong which I appreciate.
Yes, they feel like the next thing to a racing flat to me.
On about my 7th pair, favorite shoe ever!
I'm on my 6th pair. Love them.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
