I'm 15min (just above) 5k runner and wanted to get under 15min this year. Last year I used to run about 60 mpw so this winter increased it (slowly) to 80 mpw. Put there lot of tempos and it went quite well till March when I was able to run 8k tempo in 3:15. Then I began to feel tired, tried to run through it but it didn't get better so I had to train less and less.
Now, the situation is really bad. Even after several days completely off, I feel quite fresh but run pretty slowly. Today I tried 6k tempo in 3:30/km but managed to do it only in 3:47/km, couldn't go any faster. I don't know what's happening or what to do.
