from what I have seen/read, an LT run is a subset of a tempo run. LT being that inflection point in the lactate curve where the "hockey stick" curves up to the right sharply. An LT run is typically 20 minutes and is as fast as Half-MP for elite runners, progressively slower for the rest of us.
"Tempo run" can be anything from 20 to 80 minutes. Some insist it is 20 minutes at LT pace, others +60mins at MP pace.
nomenclature is tribally specific, so it depends who you ask...
