Sorry I did get a little carried away but that is my m.o.
Anyway to use the volume of my response versus the content seems to be an attempt by you to dodge the real question that I asked: are you ashamed of your body or do you suffer from an abnormal level of self loathing?
Not that there is anything wrong with that, many short, skinny runners are competing with America's image that all men need to be 6'4" 225 lbs. All I'm saying is that you don't have to be. Contrary to what Coach D said you must be a real athlete to run fast at distances.
you don't have to be sorry. letsrun would be no fun if we didn't get carried away.
if i had issues with my body, would i wear short running shorts, and often nothing else, on runs in public? if you're concerned about me wanting to wear tight crap "down there," you'll notice that i earlier said i condone the use of full tights on cold runs. i wear them often, in fact. the fact is, although i'm skinny by most standards, i have a pretty good body, thanks. lifting 4 or 5 days per week keeps you from getting too tiny.
thanks for your concern though!
ok, enough posting for awhile. i looks like the same people are just debating here, so it's time to let it die. i'm glad i stimulated a little thought on this topic.
btw, some of you guys who get so worked up and make a bunch of assumptions so you can personally insult someone should calm down.
