Does he make more than Webb or even all other athletes in track and field?

I'd be surprised if Hall made more than any of the top sprinters.
Remember that Sanya Richards made $500,000 in the Golden League jackpot last year. Tyson Gay got $50,000 to appear in Zurich (which officially wasn't even paying appearance fees), and Mo Greene used to get $100,000 a race in just appearance fee.
American distance runners don't win, they don't have the same talent and/or work ethic as the top people in their event, so they don't deserve to make as much as the sprinters, shotputters and other that do win.
I'd be interested, though, to know how much Lagat made. I know he got $160,000 in prize money in Osaka.
Work ethic?
Excuse me. A third rate American high school cross country runner has more work ethic than any sprinter I have ever seen. And opening up the UPS Balco package does NOT count as work.

I hope you're joking

I'm assuming this is a troll. If this really is a coach, you're a disgrace to your profession. May life bless you with Ethiopian sprinters and Kenyan shot putters for the remainder of your career.

You don't get to the top level of any sport and stay there for any significant amount of time without hard work. I agree with you that it's wrong to say that American distance runners don't have the work ethic of other distance runners, but your comments about sprinters are also off.
You're a f***ing idiot. World class sprinters will workout for hours every day. Give it a try sometime.
Nahh, I bet Wariner makes more than anyone else. People just don't really care about marathoners all that much... Unless you can run 50 in 50 days or some bullshit...
Coach D is right. American distance runners aren't as good as American sprinters and American shotputters, to name the most prominent. Those guys are the very top in the world. Gay, Carter, Hoffa, Wariner, Cantwell, Nelson, Spearmon, Merritt, Trammell etc are the best in the world. They win big championships, sweep medal counts, dominate performance lists, and set (and re-set) records. Their distance equivalents are the likes of Bekele, Geb, Tergat, Wanjiru, Lel, El Guerrouj, etc. I would include Lagat in this group as well, and imagine he brings in a similar payday. If not now then certainly 5 years ago. Hall is teetering on the edge of this group, he just needs a nice Olympics race and a little longevity, then I'd say he's in. Webb is close as well.
The fact of the matter is that the top sprinters/throwers/jumpers/distance runners should all get paid somewhat comparably. American sprinters and shotputters are the best in the world, bar none. With the exception of Lagat, and soon possibly Hall and Webb, no American distance runner has reached that level yet. They are 2nd tier athletes, and should not be paid like the Bekeles and Wariners of the world. It's just the way it works, I'm not ragging on American distance runners, but that's the truth of it.
Jeremy Wariner is rolling in the dough more than anyone else in the sport.
Hall's wife Sara "I am a princess" Bei had a huge ring on her finger. Seems like she was looking around at other guys, flirting.
She is a hottie and I would love to make her scream
The reason our sprinters/jumpers are more successful on the world level is not because they work harder than our distance runners - nothing could be further from the truth. Not saying it is drugs either, but more so a certain terrible industry that ended about a century and a half ago. A say a good pay back indeed.
I don't see why our shotputters are so good because our Hammer/Discus throwers aren't even remotely close to being comparable and I know that they train just as hard.
I'm sure just the thought of being with you would make her scream.
I think this is the biggest misconception in track and field. I thought the same thing for a while until I realized that after our one hour or and hour and a half worth of running we were done where as the sprinters did there workout then hit the weights for 2 plus hours. I think you are forgetting that the weights are as big of a part of a sprinters workouts as the running.I guarantee that if you compare the amount of time the top sprinters are putting in there are few if any distance runners putting in that same amount of time.

Ill agree that many top sprinters have work ethics to match their performances to put in the hours of work that they do (often in excess of what the longer counterparts do)
ill also say though that nothing a sprinter does can match the pain threshold of a hard middledistance/distance race or hard workout
You're talking apples & oranges here. Go try and keep up in the weight room with them.
Simply, sprinter = fasttwitch, distance = slowtwitch
So, Sprinters = weights, distance = 10x400 1min. rest
They should have respect for each other.
No way I could ever bench 250+ or squat 300+... (After a workout mind you...)
