Not Nike
Mizuno were around way before most of the other brands of today.
I have heard rumors that Nike got their inspiration from this brand.
Known for trainers that have a firm responsive cushion, that don't use dual densities, instead they use plastic waves in their shoes for cushion/support/control.
I've used a few pairs, good fit, but don't seem to last as long as other brands
They last plenty long. A hell of a lot longer than asics.
They are a very firm and responsive shoe, you should be able to get a bit more life out of them because of the wave plate allows the cushioning not to break down as fast. Good shoe overall
Most likely the best "unknown" brand out there!! Definitely designed for the more "competitive runner", where as Brooks and the others have continually designed their products for the masses, ie, heavy cushioned and heavy mothon control types. Not alot of marketing flash like the others, but very, very good prodcuts. the Wave Rider can compete with the Pegasus or Cumulus.
I had no idea Mizuno was an "unknown" brand. I've always thought of them as mainstream as Reebok or something. I really think their spikes are severely underrated.
Mizuno is 10 time better than Nike. No one trains in Nike because they suck. The only good things that Nike makes are racers and spikes.
I'll agree with you there about ASICS, I definetly get the least amount of miles out of those.
they have the best trainer out there, the wave rider 10, 11 just came out but havent tried it yet, but ive ran in about 6 pairs of the 10's and they are amazing, but id recommend for lighter weight runners
they also make the lightest racing flats, the wave universe
favorite kind of baseball glove
I have never owned a pair, but one of my HS teammates swore by them. He never bought anything but Mizuno. I never tried a pair because I found another shoe that seemed to work well for me.
IVe bounced around from shoe brand to shoe brand and now Im in the Mizuno Wave Inspire and will never train in anything else.
