right
but it's still not a world record
Just like Bekele's 8:04.34. But who really gives a shit?
people who hold actual world records?
if it's not a world record, you can't call it a world record based on speculation.
I can't go run .2m and claim it's the .2m world record cause no one else measured or timed one before me.
I'm sure that Daniel Komen is livid with the attention Bekele got for his 8:04 non-WR-but-best-mark-ever-recorded. Oh wait, Komen also holds the non-WR-but-best-mark-ever-recorded for 2 miles outdoors. Yeah, that 7:58 2mile "world best" is a bullshit mark, too, huh?
The same for Bekele's 4:49.99i 2000m from last year or Defar's 8:57 2mile -- meaningless,bullshit non-WRs-but-best-marks-ever-recorded.
Fewer than 10 years ago, there were no marathon WRs. Guess those were all bullshit marks, too. Because the 0.2m distance has the same history behind it as 2 miles, the DMR or the marathon, right?

How many guys have closed a DMR with a sub 4 (or=)mile
How many letsrunners use their DMR split or 4x1600m split as their mile PR?

i do...
The significant difference in this case is that the DMR isn't run outside the United States, hence calling it a World Record/Best is a bit of a stretch.

no one said it was a bullcrap mark.
Just that it's not a world record, and it isn't. You can't just call something a world record cause you consider it the best-mark-ever. If it's not a recorded world record, it's not. As the other guy remarked, DMR isn't even run outside the US with frequency.
So I'd like to announce I've set the world record in the .2 meter run. I just did it in .1ms
you dumbshit, you forgot to add .24 sec for hand timing
that's what you think, I set up the FAT on the track and measured the .2m distance so that it'd be correct.

I am glad to see it done by 4 Americans for a change. I got tired of all the foreigners on the Arkansas teams of the past as well as other schools who were full of foreigners. Good for Texas! Good for the USA!
On the other hand, Arkansas fans will cheer for a good track & field performance by any athlete--even Texans.
I am surprised you accept Manzano since he isn't a native Texan.
Has anyone else noticed that you can't get a thread over 10 posts without having one retarded person post.Seriously, you know that when you walk in a room everyone groans, right?

so I did some checking, and there are no records kept for the DMR.
FALSE not a world record
can someone slap this guy....
come over here son....slappppppp....think before you speak...slap...no go along now and play with wii son,
Actually....it kind of IS a world record. There are records kept (like every other race), and it is in fact the world record. The reason college guys hold it is because professionals hardly ever run races like that. Your just naive, and probably not a runner. KYLE MILLER WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AT CRHS!!!
