Miller (Katy, Texas) ran the 1,200-meters in 2:54.11 before exchanging with the second leg, Fortson (Fort Worth, Texas), who rounded the track twice in 46.90 for the 400-meter segment. Hernandez (Magnolia, Texas) was timed at 1:47 in the 800-meter portion of the race while Manzano (Marble Falls, Texas) ran the final 1,600-meters in 3:57.96.

you could have run on that relay with your 46- 400m from 40 + years ago!

hey tard, are you serious? they just broke the WORLD RECORD
yeah, but those guys did it 36 years ago.
LEEEGITTTT
Impressive runs by those boys! Way to assemble 4 A+ performances together for a sick relay!
good for these guys...impressive that they are all from the same state in high school as well...the only bad thing about it is that we have to hear how greeeeat texas is for the next year...it gets intensely ANNOYING....
How many guys have closed a DMR with a sub 4 (or=)mile

I'm 45 and live in Dallas and this is going to be a year long wild ride....yee haw!
I am glad to see it done by 4 Americans for a change. I got tired of all the foreigners on the Arkansas teams of the past as well as other schools who were full of foreigners. Good for Texas! Good for the USA!

Great run and to have everyone go at the same time is awesome!

Plenty, Webb did it in high school.

uhh....many of the top teams down thru the years with the top times in the dmr or 4 mile relay had their anchor run under 4 minutes; going back to the 1970s.
Did it on Arkansas' home track, too. Arkansas folks appreciate and respect a good performance, but could probably do without Texas, of all schools, setting a record like that on their track against their team.
Mac ripped on his team a bit after the meet.

this sounds phony
so I did some checking, and there are no records kept for the DMR.
FALSE not a world record
It's a world best in same sense as Bekele's 8:04:34: the best mark ever record.

Hey Sergeant Friday - thanks for the detective work.
An indoor DMR of 9:25 is an incredible series of races - the four splits are really impressive given that it's only February. World best or record, its an amazingly fast time.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
