Philadelphia, PA – In an effort to further demonstrate their dedication to the athletic community, Boathouse Sports has introduced a new Community Relations Program. Boathouse’s devotion to giving back to the community has been a foundation of the company since its inception.
Boathouse has built a core of signature programs highlighting its commitment to excellence in leadership, athleticism and academia. Our community relations programs offer two unique scholarships to be awarded to three recipients annually.
The Boathouse Coach of the Year Award honors an athletic coach who promotes civic awareness to their team. The coach must participate in some form of volunteerism outside of their sport. Boathouse will fully outfit the winning coaches from top to bottom with their team’s logos in recognition of that individual’s efforts to contribute positively to their team and their community.
The winner of our Boathouse Academic and Athletic Excellence Award will be provided with branded TXM training gear. The recipient of this award is a collegiate or high-school team that demonstrates excellence on and off the field as well as in the classroom. The team must have an ending mean grade point average of 3.0 to be considered for this award.

Description of the Awards
Boathouse Coach of the Year
Boathouse will fully outfit the winning head coach from top to bottom with their team’s logos and colors in recognition of that individual’s efforts to contribute positively to their team and their community.
The ideal coach is one that demonstrates leadership on and off the field of play. This individual must be involved in some form of community volunteerism in addition to coaching a winning program. The Boathouse Coach of the Year is one that promotes civic awareness to their team. Team members or team parents may nominate a coach for this award. This is an annual program in which the award will be given out every April 15th which a nomination period running from February 1st to April 1st.
Boathouse Academic and Athletic Excellence Award
Boathouse will provide one team (collegiate or high school) with branded TxM training gear. The recipient of this award is a team that demonstrates excellence on and off the field as well as in the classroom. The team must have an ending mean grade point average 3.0 or above. This program further demonstrates Boathouse’s commitment to excellence. It brings to light the importance of achieving on the field of play and off. One team in each of Boathouse’s three territories will receive this award annually. Teams to receive the award will be determined on June 15 of each year. Team captains, team parents or a coaching staff may nominate their teams for this award.
