that crap from walmart is probably someone's recycled pot, pan or skillet from china. you probably get a nice dose of lead too. there is a reason why "its ALOT cheaper".
Where do all you people live, with all these references to Wal-Mart?
From today's headlines ...
The Chinese really are not concerned with what goes into anything that they make.
TOKYO — At least eight Japanese were sickened, including a child who remains in a coma, after eating Chinese-made dumplings contaminated with an insecticide, police and health officials said Wednesday.
A family of three in western Hyogo and another family of five in Chiba, near Tokyo, suffered severe abdominal pains, vomiting and diarrhea after eating the frozen dumplings imported from China by a Japanese company, the Health Ministry said.
I take 'gentle iron' regularly (2 pills a week - I'm not anemic - or at least medically diagnosed as that, I just use it because my diet is poor) and whenever I'm feeling a severe lack of energy I get a boost. I bought the pills from Rite-Aid, probably $15
I take an iron pill with a vitamin C pill every day (not with calcium!). Once my iron get higher I\'ll take it perhaps 3-4 times a week. I got them at Fred Meyer.
Feospan is amazing stuff to take if you are anaemic. It's quite cheap and it works really well, I've been anaemic three times in three years and it's got me back on track within no time at all. I'd really recommend it. You can get it from Intrapharm Labs online: http://www.intrapharmlabs.com/Intrapharm_ProductInfo.htm

100,000,000 americans shop there every week.
to put it in perspective, there are about 300,000,000 americans total.
walmart employs about 1 in 123 american workers and 1 in 20 american retail workers.
so other than Feosol being from walmart can anyone tell me if itll still do the job just as good as others?
How much iron are you supposed to take? I bought a supplement from CVS that's 65mg or what the bottle says is equivalent to 325mg ferrous sulfate. someone told me thats way too much.
If you eat healthy Iron becomes less needed,--unless you have a medical condition-- I take it, don't get me wrong. But I buy the small dosage ones at GNC for like $5. just saying....

get any type of slow releasing iron to take with vitamen c on an empty stomach
The folks at the USOC recommend Feosol for the athletes there. Should be good enough for you.
Over the years, I have had a lot of problems with low iron. Feosol has worked pretty well for me - my doctor has me taking a pill 3xs/day. I think they work great, and I haven't had a problem since I started this regimen, combined with a slight decrease in overall training intensity. Since I started this, I've been running better than ever before.
So the Feosol you get anywhere is fine. Make sure you get the 365mg pills. Take them with OJ or some other juice with vitamin C, and avoid anything with calcium within 1-2 hours of taking the pills. This will help absorb the iron.
Would 18 mg (100% DV) help much to prevent anemia?
I have the same question...all these choices are pretty confusing. Today I ended up getting the CVS tablets (slow release) at 50 mg ("from ferrous sulfate 155 mg"). It says to take 1 tablet a day, but I wonder if I should take 2 during marathon training...?
I've been feeling pretty beaten lately and lost a few pounds unexpectedly (I'm 100 pounds).
rda is the amount that the average person needs per day to prevent a disease state.
really, you need to have your blood tested. some people may never need a supplement, others may have a tough time absorbing enough iron even eating healthy and taking a supplement - especially women.
