Clemens
Clemens
i would say clemens because he is in loser denial about the truth.
Both.
Clemens. He is lying big time. Bonds has been tested, is guilty, everyone knows it, but just keeps denying. Clemens does the same, but cries like a baby on 60 minutes, claiming he should get "...an inch of respect" 20+ years earns you respect? Why? What if you were cheating for the last 6 or 7 ? Bonds does not make press conferences or 60 minute interviews. He just tries to stay away from everyone. Clemens is yelling and screaming, and won't take the polygraph. Bottom line for Clemens, if he and his former trainer go before Congress - and both stick to their story, then someone is going to jail. Perjury in front of a congressional seating is a federal crime.
Bonds will keep denying, and probably love it the Clemens is taking some heat. Clemens will keep screaming and crying, and end up with the majority of the fans disliking him.
Clearly, it is Bonds. His testicles have shrunken to the size of grapefruit seeds. Like some voodoo witch doctor put a hex on him for pissing in a New Orleans' street alley or sumpin.
Speaking of shrunken testicles:

They are both scum. Bonds lied under oath. Looks like Clemens will too.
how do you know Clemens is not telling the truth? what information do you have that gives any proof Clemens did anything wrong? This McNamee guy has no credibility as far as I'm concerned. The reason he's even in trouble is because he's a liar, and the feds caught him. So in Roger's entire career, nobody else is coming forward saying they know anything, or ever saw Clemens do anything wrong. Now one guy, a former trainer who is already caught in a lie, implicates Clemens and he now is forced to defend himself. What if he's innocent? As far as 60 minutes, he may have not gained much sympathy in the interview, but I recall that when the Mitchell report first came out and Clemens started defending himself, a lot of sports reporters were doubting him and saying that if he was really innocent, he'd be filing lawsuits and appearing on all the TV shows defending himself. Now he goes and does that, and takes even more heat.
I don't know that he's innocent, but the lack of evidence against any and all of these guys is incredible, and I'm not in a place to convict any of them, certainly not Clemens, for something he may have never done.
It doesn't help Clemens that his best buddy Andy already admitted to taking HGH from the same guy that accused Clemens.
Step aside, Barry Bonds.
You are no longer Baseball's Biggest Jerk.
Sorry, Barry. You had a great run but it's time for you to relinquish your crown to Roger Clemens.

Too close to call. Both guilty, both arrogant, both can't shut their mouths, both were locks for the hall, both will take their lies to their grave. Clemens comes off a little worse now simply because he's the one in the news.
How do I know Clemens is not telling the truth?
A. He's a proven liar. He said he was retiring after the 2003 season complete with a fair well tour that was topped off with the Yankees giving him an Orange Hummer as a retirement gift. He went back on his word in 2004 and signed with the Astro's.
B. I have eyes. I saw him roid rage on Piazza in the 2000 season by throwing a fastball squarely at his head because Piazza owned him then in the 2000 World Series he raged again and threw a broken bat shard at Piazza.
C. I'm not a moron. I know it's not normal for a power pitcher to maintain his fastball and stamina well in his 40's. Nolan Ryan could throw hard for all those years but didn't maintain his dominance like Clemens did.
D. His steroid dealer a.k.a. personal trainer told the federal government that he injected Clemens and Andy Pettite with HGH and steroids. Pettite corraborated the claim and said that the trainer was telling the truth. Clemens the liar denied it.
1) How is "A" any evidence whatsoever connected to steroids? He thought about retiring, and changed his mind. Guess that proves Michael Jordan is a steroid user, too.
2) EVIDENCE would be if you used your eyes ("B") to watch him use steroids. Your "opinion" of why he's so intense is no evidence.
3) I'm not touching your first statement in part "C", it's too easy. Moving on, Ryan DID dominate into his mid-40s. Maybe not every pitch of every inning of every game, but he could still turn it on whenever he wanted. All the way to age 45. The common thread between Ryan and Clemens is their work ethic concerning keeping themselves in shape. Roger's biggest asset the last few years is that he's only been pitching half seasons, and this past year, he even missed a few starts of that. And he still hasn't turned 45 yet.
4) His trainer ("D") is really the only true evidence against Clemens, and it doesn't look good for Roger that Pettite used. But Andy using is at best (or worst) circumstantial evidence against Roger, they're two different people, allowed to make their own mistakes (Andy), or not (maybe Roger). McNamee has been PROVEN to lie under oath, and told Roger he WOULD lie (ie., change his story, go to jail) to fix the situation.
I don't know if Clemens used or not. Until there's more evidence than just one guy saying "I can't prove it, but yes, you did", I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. If you were a superstar and someone accused you of doing PEDs when you didn't, what would you do ? If you had access to 60 Minutes, wouldn't you go on TV and say you didn't do it? Would you sort of deny it with a "I've never tested positive" statement, or would you scream "I didn't do any PEDs !!! EVER !!" ? Wouldn't you sue your accuser (if you had the resources)?
Clemens has, but Bonds has never:
1) Denied using. Barry has never even half-denied it. He simply won't acknowledge any questions concerning PEDs.
2) Sued anyone who said he did it.
Clemens has never, but Bonds has:
1) Admitted using (in his grand jury testimony).
Evidence against Clemens:
McNamee testimony
Evidence against Bonds:
His supplier (BALCO) documented use, which ones, what dates
Victor Conte testimony concerning those documents
Girlfriend testimony (Kim Whats-her-name)
Gary Sheffield testimony
Bond's own admission to the Grand Jury
The only difference between Bonds and Clemens is Jeff Novitzky.
As far as your response to A: Learn to read. He said how he knew clemens wasn't telling the truth. He didn't say this is how I know clemens used steroids. While I agree the reason is kind of "off", your response accusing Michael Jordan of using steroids doesn't make sense.
I agree with the rest of your responses. However, I don't agree in giving clemens the benefit of the doubt. I think he did have 'roid rage when he went after Piazza. He was owned and he knew it, so it enraged him.
Wait until they ask Petitte if Clemens used and he has to testify under oath. Bye Bye Clemens. You know Petitte knows Clemens used, it's only a matter of time before he is asked under oath.
Another strike against Roger:
When the report came out he denied that Mac had ever injected him with anything. Then on 60 minutes he says "yea, he injected me with B-12 and Lidocaine.
So, which is it Roger? Either he never injected you with anything or he injected you with B-12 and Lidocaine.
This is going to lead to his next lie where he says " I thought he was injecting me with B-12 and Lidocaine, i didn't know it was Winstrol or Growth Hormone"
He also says he didn't know his name was going to be in the Mitchell report, but his lawyers sent investigators to see Mac the day before it came out.
BTW, he had lost his fastball the last 4 years he was in Boston, then he gets to Toronto and it came back, not only that but at age 35. Ryan never lost it, mister consistent.
After the last game of the '89 season i was out having some beers by the park and as players came by some would stop and chat with us (Bob Stanley stayed a while), anyways a black Porshe with Texas plates and SUPER K on the plates pulls up, i stuck my head in the sun roof and said "why are you driving Nolan Ryans car" Roger glared up at me and sped off, i thought it was pretty funny.
Clemens is absolutely worse because with Bonds all along you knew what you were dealing with. He's always been known as a jerk. Clemens, the cheat, was thought to be a hero and was praised by so many. He was the recipient of years of praise and adulation.
How do I know Clemens is a cheat. His tape of Mac. If someone lied about you you using drugs and you were on the phone with them what would be the first thing you would say to them? Why the hell did you lie about me using drugs and when are you going to tell them that they were "b-12 shots" The tape just reflects what a slime ball Clemens is. Even Barry isn't secretly taping people.
Clemens almost makes Bonds look acceptable and I always hated bonds.
Both guilty in my eyes. As for worse, I'd give the nod to Barry Bonds. He's a complete jerk to everyone. At least Clemens seems close with his family and backed his teammates. Roger's learning that you can't serve up a brushback pitch in the real world.
Barry Bonds has been a prick all his career
I didn't think Clemens was a prick until he threw the ball at Piazza's head (followed by the bat in the world series).
So I have to say Barry
Bonds because he's black.
