How many guys from Louisville ran in the marathon trials this past November? The way this board talks, you would think at least a dozen.
I don't think that the entire state of Kentucky had a sub 2:22 marathoner over the last couple years.
...or you could do what I do-buy your shoes on the internet and run alone. Most peaceful.
we have had 2, good info though
2 under 2:22 for the entire state? How many under 2:19?

I don't know where these idiots are from (except runningArt). We've got a very good running community here. As one thoughtful person noted "no 2:22 mary runners", but tons of good people, and some very competitive ones.
Each one of the stores has it's strengths and weaknesses - I've shopped at all of them. Lately I've been doing more barefoot and h-street stuff, so I don't do much shoe shopping anymore!
Enjoy yourself while you're here.

8 at Fleet Feet is good. Don't worry about the flats ;) We'll see you out there.
Are you seriously talking shit on letsrun.com? you and the other douche talking alot of shit need to grow up. I no the DreamTeam, I dont know themike but they both need to shut up. neither of them even ran in college im guessing, and want to act like 20 year olds again. Who cares if Kentucky doesnt have any runners under 219. Just go out there and run and have fun doing it. Who cares if you havent broken 2:30 which I will bet money that no runner at Fleet Feet or Irqouis hill runners have done. If you want to race me, I will be at Sawyer park 4 times this week Mon-Thurs from around 6-7. Come find me if you want some.

But good training, if you all ever want to race us as a team, haha just let us know which race you will be in.
We will be there at 8am. I bet we run alone again.

What does that mean punk
It means that you will not show, and if you do, you will fall off before mile 3. Is that clear enough for you, butt Pirate?
something to think about.....

Why can't everyone get along? what's all this stuff about the Fleet Feet guys if you've never met them? pre-made assumptions about people isn't fair if you've never met the people is it? All of the runners are nice guys. That's just me. Peace

Please do report back on this thread tomorrow after the run. It's entertaining to say the least.
So what kind of workout are you all doing tommorow? we will do what your doing. what kind of pace are you all planning on hitting and what parts are we running in?
a)what is a butt pirate
2)their not pre-made, we've had experiances
c)were gonna drop off at 3? is that right?
d)really should we bring trainers or are you all going to push the pace acting like a race and then we will go into race mode, we will not get beat. so flats or trainers?
e)whats the weather going to be like?

lol thats great. that episode of the office was a classic mostly because of the race. great quote my man.
So are there any teams/clubs in Louisville that you dont have to be an "elite" runner on?
Yes plenty, Fleet Feet has a pretty big running group. you can find the dates on their website fleetfeetlouisville.com. Its a good group of men and women all commited to running, all nice people. Fleet Feet has a running group for people just training and a pretty good racing team with some pretty good runners on it. You should check them out first.
