Could anyone educate me a little on the subject of carbohydrates? Specifically, the difference between "simple" ones and "complex" ones?
As far as I can tell, "complex" carbs are things like whole grains, brown bread, etc, whereas "simple" carbs would be refined sugars, white bread, and so on.
Yes? No?
From what little I know, I should be eating a whole lot of "complex" carbs and avoiding the "simple" ones. Is this a good idea? What's the actual difference between the two types, and what sorts of carbs should one eat?
