If you drink beer just once, how bad is it for you as a runner? Does it have any effects at all? How much does it take for it to start hurting you?

Your pecker will fall off. Do you really want that to happen?
No, beer has no effects. People love it for it's sweet taste.
One beer will take you out, and slow you down for the next 6 months.

Yes, if you drink only one beer it will hurt your running, you should drink at least a six-pack each day.
one word: ziggy
two more words: absolutely not
Horrible. 1 beer = 6 months of training
10 beers = 8 years of training
Any more than that and your running career will be over.
Once a runner.

You're right. After beer, he'll only be classified as once a runner, since the beer will destroy his will and talent.

I already lost my pecker experimenting with Red Bull. Is one beer OK if I already have no pecker?
Dude, don't booze. It's too much f'ing work. Sipping or chugging some liquid, it's an f'ing job if you have any kind of tolerance.
Go into other drugs, you inhale/exhale, snort, inject, you're feeling good almost right away/right away.

One-two beers per day is OK.
I am tempted to quote two great New Zealanders:
Rod Dixon: "All I want to do is drink beer and train like an animal"
John Walker: "There is no secret to running - run hard, have a beer, have a pizza..."
