If i ran a hard workout in the morning and then in the afternoon ran an active recovery run, would it make sense to double the next day or would i just be better off going for one run that's a little longer? The day after that i would probably be doing a tempo or threshold workout.
1- am-workout
pm- 30 minute recovery run
2- am 60 minutes
pm 30 minutes
-or-
2- am 75-80 minutes
3-tempo/threshold
Also, i was wondering, if i was doing a threshold workout of repeat 2ks, the recovery would should still be at 1 minute right? not something like 1 1/2 or 2 minutes despite the longer than usual interval?
