Want to know if you'll like Chicago?
We invite you to take a look for yourself. The experience begins on the flight in (or, God forbid, the drive in). You see barren, flat earth all the way to the edge of the horizon. If flying from the East, you might come over Lake Michigan, which is one of the world's largest cesspools. But hey, if you like swimming in 50-degree ammonia solution it will be perfect for you! The water doesn't shine lime green in the summer for no reason! It keeps the fish happy, that's for sure!
In the summer, it will be humid. It's not hot all the time, but when the place you're living has very few reedeming qualities, the heat is quite noticeable. In the winter, the aura turns "gray"--the clouds, the earth, and Lake Ammonia too! You won't have time to think about the grey, however. You'll be too busy shielding yourself from the 35 mph wind whipping off Lake Ammonia. Just throw in a temperature of 15 degrees, and you have a typical January Chicago day. Are you excited yet?
Well you should be. Because the Chicago Cubs are America's team! Nevermind the fact that they haven't won anything in almost 100 years! They are still cool! And if you think the Cubs are cool, wait to you see their fans. They really do know a lot about winning baseball! Aren't you looking forward to joining the club?
And then there is the cost. Since Chicago is obviously as cool as San Francisco and New York, the rents will be just as high. What a bargain! I mean, everyone knows the Midwest is better than the California coast or the world's greatest city! No doubt about that!
Let's not forget about the pizza. Mmmmm, it's tasty. But don't eat too much or you'll soon look like the fellow Chicagoans. Fat and pasty--just like the pizza!
The region is vibrant and exciting. If you get bored of the city confines, take a daytrip north to the lovely city of Milwaukee. Hey, at least they have a better baseball team. And if north isn't your thing, it's always nice to know there are plenty of vacancies in the motels of Gary, Indiana down south. They have some awesome factories in Gary (at least the ones that weren't condemmed)--don't forget to check those out!
All in all Chicagoland is a beautiful region, and a great place to live. If you thought the neon lights in the hallway at O'Hare airport were cool, wait until you see downtown! You'll be blown away (not literally, or at least not in this case!). Please do visit and WELCOME TO CHICAGO!
