What'd everyone think?
Less than satisfactory.

I dont' know. I can only tell you what I think and I have not seen the movie yet.
Good first half, I was told. It sort of falters when the zombies start showing up.
water world meets the living dead
I don't think much.
u guys have to be joking, that was an amazing movie!!! i've been waiting for a new version to come out for years... the last vesion was The Omega Man with Charlton Heston (1971). I watched it with my dad when i was like 8 and It was an instant classic. Kudo's to Will Smith too, who'd think the Fresh Prince would be such a damn good actor
it sounds like i've seen this movie before when it was called 28 days later. how is this film different?
"nego" as in "person who is negative"
anyway
the first half was really really good and blah blah
the last half however...
como se dice "blew its load to soon"?
the movie ended to soon when the zombies reached his house. also, the focus on the lead zombie led me to believe that they would allow some character development/history there...nope. also led me on to believe that neville and the lead zombie might have some sort of developing relationship...nope. once they got the cure to the safe colony...ended abrubtly.
all and all, maybe since i expected the above-mentioned things to happen and they didn't, made it seem like the movie ended to soon. you know, like a sense of unfinished business.
the movie can be likened to gerry lindgren during his sub 2hr marathon attempt. was looking spectacular the entire way to mile 26. during the last the .2 miles, somewhere it blew its load, it's momentum, it's climb and passed out on the ground.
horrible ending.
but good for the first half, i guess. it just leaves you dissatisfied.
it raises your expectations, then it never meets them.
did anyone notice some of the movie boards when he was traveling new york, there was a batman sign mixed with the superman "S", maybe possible future movie when batman meets superman, it was 2012 in the movie so it could be a spoiler

I love how people are saying this movie is a copy off earlier movies - it's based on a short book by Richard Matheson that was written in 1954! Which is an awesome book by the way. I just hope they didn't screw it up - i'm seeing it tomorrow.
I saw the Batman-Superman logo too. I was really excited because there had been talk on the internet about this movie for a few years. Unfortunatly after googling \\\"Batman Superman I am Legend\\\" I came across an article which explained that it was nothing more then a joke inserted by a writer who was at one time hired to draft a script of the batman superman movie (I think the idea fell through). Anyway to conclude this incredibly nerdy post, no batman superman duo, but the dark knight looks awesome.
Once the dog died, the movie went downhill rapidly. She was the best character. Will Smith was great, especially in the scenes where he freaks out, but I hated the second half. I thought at several points they would develop the story more. When the zombie comes into the light, I thought they might be adapting. Then, when the zombie makes the trap exactly like Smith did, I thought again there might be some sort of adaptation, but it never happened. And I questioned whether the girl would be able to dig herself out of the rubble when everything explodes. Wouldn't four stories be coming down on top of them?

It would have been leftover from 2009, though.

Not from a flipping hand grenade. Smith's character did it just to take out the head zombie (? they seem more like vampires to me) as well as the rest that had come down into the lab since his work was done and with no family he really had nothing left to live for.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. Here's the original adaptation, starring Vincent Price:Part 1 http://youtube.com/watch?v=KGOAgBT--FAPart 2 http://youtube.com/watch?v=y44iHydcPBU&feature=related

Actually all zombie movies can trace their existance to the original "I Am Legend" book which was turned into two previous movies, (Last Man on Earth, and Omega Man) one of which was a key influence to the god of all things zombie George Romero who created "Night of the Living Dead".
All zombie movies or "last men on earth" movies are all the same in their premise....lots of zombies against a few humans.

The reviews have been mildly positive, but a couple of people I know called it the worst movie they'd ever seen
