Nice job by Dan Browne! It seems like it's been forever since an American has won a decent marathon. I would grade the marathons for the first coupld of Americans as follows:
Dan Browne - A
Brad Hauser - B
David Morris - B-
Jim Jurcevich - B
Hopefully the guys at Chicago can follow up Browne's performance with some big PRs.

wow, way to go brad!
Dan Browne did an excellent job at Twin Cities and his
successful debut will help Alan and Meb in their debuts!
The top 10k guys now see with proper training it is possible step up to the marathon and be a major factor in
your first marathon.
Dan Browne now have two options he can aim for in 2003 Worlds. Despite his successful debut and pending Meb
and Alan debut in the marathon, its possible all three
will focus on the 10k and leave us only one marathoner
competing at the Worlds!
Could Dan Browne have run sub 2:10 if he pick Chicago?
2 masters runners in the top 3? When was the last or 1st time that ever happened?
Go Army.
Great debuts for the Americans! Everyone go out and get your high altitude play stations before they're sold out!
Unless there's some malfeasance going on here Joshua Kipkemboi has got to be one of the most versatile running machines ever! Kipngok is 36 until proven otherwise.
Joshua Kipkemboi 43 years old

Jackson Kipngok 36 years old

Both birth dates check out on other All-time lists.
Teddy 2:24...time to get a real job?
dan only 10 seconds ahead of a 43 year old. time to get a real job???
how about the women's results?
Great marathon debut, Dan! Congratulations!
Ha Ha Teddy!
