I am going to be running the 1000 soon and was shooting for 2:35-2:40. I ran 8x200 today (indoors) with 1 minute rest going 29.7, 29.7, 29.8, 29.6, 29.9, 30.5, 31.2, 30.3 and was wondering if that is a reasonable workout for someone with my goals. I have never run an 800 or 1000 on the collegiate level, I am more of a distance guy going down for a race. I am running about 60-70 miles a week with a few longer tempo runs thrown in.
