Sigl was probably 24:20 range, Kosgei slowed way down after he realized he wasn't going to catch Sigl, Erichsen 3rd. Not sure how many got under 25--not too many though.

The Mideast Region steps up with 3 of the first 9, damn.
who was 4th, 5th, 7-10
Not to pick on any particular poster, just a note to the world: if you don't know what irony means, don't use it.
. . . the word that is. feel free to use the concept.
back to results. i have heard donohoe from SLU was 5th, can anyone verify that. because if so he went from 9th at regionals to 5th at nationals.
Do you consider the misuse of the word "ironic" ironic?
Results are up: http://onlineraceresults.com/event/view_event.php?event_id=2286
Not in the slightest. "Irony" is when the literal or intended meanings is the opposite of the actual meaning. For example, when a doctor tells an overweight person to start running to get healthier and on that person's first run he is hit by a truck, that is ironic (and unfortunate).
What ironic is not:
-simply wrong
-coincidental
-funny
-unusual
Unless, of course, one is intending to sound intelligent by using the word, and ends up looking stupid by misusing it (which I am not accusing any of intending).
Sorry, I will stop hijacking this thread with literary criticism.
go amherst!
UW Lacrosse has their #2-#6 finish in a span of 2 seconds?
This is just ridiculously good pack running by UW-L. I don't think I've ever seen five guys come across the line like this. And they weren't even close to one another at any of the intermediate splits.

If one sustains an injury of the testicles, that's tragic (to oneself--to others, generally hilarious), but not ironic.
If one sustains an injury of the testicles one year to the day after a previous similar injury, that's coincidental (and maybe scary), but not ironic.
If one sustains an injury of the testicles, despite having worn a jock strap to prevent injury, that is paradoxical, but not ironic.
If one "heels" oneself in the testicles whilst putting on a jock strap that was intended to prevent injury (yes, that can happen--experience speaks), THAT is irony.
yeah looking at their split, it looks like #6 was the only one not with them the whole way as he dropped back in the 2'nd mile. He reeled them in quite nicely and it's pretty cool how they finished
Great race by Haverford!!! Go Mid-East and Atlantic Region. Mid West Whaaaaaat?
Donohoe from St. Lawrence finished HUGE in 6th. Definitely a big breakout race for him.
A team that runs a race together by plan and benefits from one another's presence employs good pack running.
When each member on a team runs solo and the entire team comes together at the very end (presumably some died, some kicked, and others stayed just right), that is coincidental--not good pack running.
When a team plans to run together to benefit from one another's presence, but trip on one another's shoe laces and all collapse mid-race, that is ironic.
What happened the the South Region? We all new they weren't going to do that great but I didn't think they were going to be 30th and 32nd.
Seppo you are why people hate NESCAC and people from Amherst. You think you are all witty and above it all, but in the end you are nothing more than a college dork who can't make his own varsity team.
BREAKING: Leonard Korir not going to Paris! 11 Universality athletes get in ahead of him!
