I can agree the Hawaii in no way could be #1. LSU lost to a dildo Arkansas team in Baton Rouge and should not be in the BCS title game. OSU lost to a no name Illinois team that got slaughtered all year long and should not be in the BCS Title game. USC lost to Stanford, hah, what a laugh. Oregon has no D, and Arizona walloped their prima donnas, nailed them one by one and sent them to the quacks. Georgia is on the Atlantic Ocean and gets added 10 places to the BCS poll just for that. If Georgia were on the Pacific ocean, subtract 10 places. VT, BC, WV, KS, MO played weak schedules, and fell apart under pressure. CA played the Pac-10 and got walloped. The one highlight all year was the PAC-10. No PAC-10 team had an easy schedule, Cal, Or, AzSt, Usc, Ucla survived and took a beating, literally. The PAC-10 is the model conference.
Unfortunately, there will be no conclusions after the bowl games either. The bowl games are holiday demonstration post-season games played after teams have 4 whole weeks off. The teams are not sharp, in fact they are rusty, drunk, doped, super-sized, and toked-out. No matter how much you practice, you don't play the same in a real game. That's why the 1st round in March Madness has the sucker teams, i.e. lowest ranked vs highest ranked, to give the high ranking teams a game to burn of the HGH and steroids from Lance Armstrong's suppliers. Even if Hawaii demolishes Georgia by 28 points, there will be doubts to their #1 popularity. You just can't expect kids to roll out of bed after partying New Year's eve, and play the biggest game of their young lives.
