The running press seems to have its favorite workouts (4 x 1 mile at 5k pace, 20-30 min tempo....that type of stuff)
What are some of your favorite, off the beaten path workouts? I personally am a fan of the "long uphill" For instance, 2 x 10 min at 5k intensity with a jog down recovery or 30 min hard uphill tempo (preferably running down easily first for a warm up).
I try to get up into the mountains during the summer and I end up doing these workouts quite a bit.
