I'm sure Hall had no idea about Shay's death until after he'd crossed the finish line. So THAT point--that it was "unbecoming" of him to celebrate, and that he'll regret it--was silly. Idiocy, actually.
Look, Hall just can't win with some of you guys. If he's dreamy-eyed and modest and talks about how God is everything, you call him a Jesus freak. If he goes with his feelings at the end of a race and, instead of remaining quiet and modest, simply shouts for joy, you say he's foolish for wasting precious seconds through needless personal display of emotion.
Jesus Christ, as they say. They guy is a phenom. He's authentic. He is himself, balls (and Jesus) and all. That's a good thing. He's an amazing runner, a natural runner. He's certainly looking like one of the most talented runners this country has ever produced. Just allow him to be that, and to be who he is. Maybe he knows how to live life well and fully. Watch, listen, and learn.
