Basically the only way to consistently make money in a casino is 1) blackjack -you would have to card count consistently though 2) poker-must be good player/reading poker books helps 3) sports betting-must know team and players and history well. All slot machines and other table games are pure luck with the odds in favor of the house. But if you can control your betting, it is just an entertainment expense like anything else. It's fun going to a casino but if you do it like more than once a week, it will start to feel like going to a zombie land unless it's Vegas which is lively 24-7. Investing in stocks I have lost over 30k in my life and admittedly I haven't done extensive research as I should have. But I've accumulated a net profit of nearly 100k from those 3 casino games I mentioned in the outset of my post. I have a nice salary and stay well within budget. That is the key. BUT it's not for everyone and the vast majority of people who think they can win will lose.
