Do you guys consider it a real all american honor when you finish, say 37th at the national cross championships, and are given an all american certificate because you are in the top 25 americans, as opposed to actually being in the top 25 overall? At my University the athletes have named the one where you get one by virtue of being an american, THE ALL-AMERICAN of SHAME. It is kind of harsh, and no-one puts it up on their wall, and the guys don't consider it a real honor. What do you think? Just wondering if these guys are too hard-core?
