Replace the "D" with a Brooks logo or another "major" shoe logo. Notice much difference?
"Dual density compression moulded E.V.A to assist pronation, lightweight full length cushioning, open weave mesh for breathability, shock absorbent PU sock, TPU shank to assist in stability, anatomically positioned grooves assisting in fl exibility."
Nowadays the cheap Wal-Mart shoes will work just as well as their more expensive counterparts. It's not like back in '92 with my first pair of running shoes some MacGregor canvas upper monster!..:)
Basically, the consumer is willing to pay more for the name brand because it's sold in a speciality store while the MacGregor's and Dunlops are sold at Wal-Mart at a low price because Wal-Mart DEMANDS it.
You'll find Nike's at Wal-Mart and other stores but they'll be the "off brand" Nikes. Of course...my last injury a couple years ago I was running in a pair of off brand Nikes..:)
