Stunning. This is at Cal also. It's not a good year to be ranked in the Top 5. #1 LSU already lost today.
That perfect storm for the BCS is really brewing. Can you imagine an undefeated USF facing one of about 8 or 9 teams with 1 loss (all of which feel they belong in the BCS title game)?
Great game, I love watching Oregon State, fun and wide open.

This is great. We (LSU) will fall to #5 or 6 in the rankings this week. If Cal looses they will fall to #7 or so. Ohio State will move to #1, but they will loose in time, and so will S. Florida (they aren't as great as many people think). SOOO, in the end, LSU will retake their #1 ranking, and then when Cal beats USC will take back their #2 and it will be Cal vs LSU in the BCS!

The PAC-10 is tough, the whole conference. Arizona and Stanford would finish 10-2 in the BIG-10 or SEC. The PAC-10 has 8 Top 25 teams this year. The PAC-10 in Football is just like in Cross and Track.
Why is that we enjoy upsets? Unless it's the team for which we are hoping will win. It's all good.

Arizona and Stanford are also winless against teams from the Mountain West... maybe the MWC is the best. Or maybe you can just admit that the P10 isn't that great. I'll place them second behind the SEC. All this talk about P10 depth is bogus. Stanford is 2-4 because that is where they belong. if they went to the SEC they'd still lose most of their games. Arizona can't be that great if they are blowing games against teams like New Mexico. UCLA has only lost out of conference... to Utah and Notre Dame... and scored 6 points in both (Hint: they run up up the points in P10 games because the P10 in general isn't that good at defense). Certainly Cal losing to Oregon St. doesn't make the P10 any better... I mean isn't this the same Beaver squad that got destroyed by Cincinnati? They have four teams ranked and that is exactly as it should be. None of the other teams in the conference have looked great... even in non-conference games.

How is it that everyone in the staduim can know that you need to throw it out of the end zone, but the one guy who has the job to do it decides to pull it down and run for it? How many times do you suppose Tedford told this kid "If it's not there, throw it away" before the play started. 3 or 4?
But hey, at least the men's XC team should be ranked in the top 10 now, so it could be worse...

the MWC and Big West are better than the b10, b12, se, nd now. boise st went undefeated last year and won the college football national chmaps. hawaii is on track to win the nc\'s this year. the west has the best football now. the pac 10 has 5 of the Top 10 teams in the nation. the east/south/mid schools always vote against an NCAA Championships since that would kill the new york press bias they have in the bcs.
