anyone interested in this??? maine marathon isn't supposed to be too bad, last 10k especially is supposed to be rewarding. and the weather looks to be ideal (low 60s). i think some peeps should gather and try to qualify. fryan says so
and $1000 in you win and get under 2:25
bump
The weather isn't going to be great in either of those places either
I'm not running, but I was thinking the same thing. Portland looks like good weather, but a rolling course. Albany is flat and fast but the weather seems questionable. If it were me, I'd pick Portland over Albany (hills don't bother me much, heat does). If you have the means, there is a marathon in Nova Scotia on Sunday that is supposed to be totally flat and have great weather (forecast high 55). Not sure if it is certified.
you should do whatever you can to get to St George! One of the reasons St George is always so fast is the reliable weather. Amazing that you are out in the middle of nothing and there is barely a breeze...its bizarre.
I'm running Maine on Sunday as my first marathon and I'm also hoping to qualify...for Boston, not the Olympics.
It isn't touted as a flat course, but I'd love to see some qualifiers run the course. Hills being relative to what people are used to, I've heard people say it is rolling, and I've heard people really complain that it is much more hilly than advertised.

You misspelled weather. Hopefully you're not married to an English teacher!
